Fleet Operator (French/Italian/English speaker)

Hybrid position for a Fleet Operator with skills of French and English (and perfectly Italian) who organises and ensures fleet repair and delivery process smoothness.

About us

Liigu OÜ was established on January 29th 2021. The first rental was made on August 1, 2021. Liigu is operating in the field of new mobility with a focus on providing smart rental service, which means allowing the use of a car via the mobile phone. Liigu offers both short-term rental and subscriptions for long-term.

Main tasks:

• Fleet Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the vehicle fleet, scheduling maintenance and repairs, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Managing vehicle handovers and fleet-related documentation and invoices.
• Supplier Management: Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure competitive rates for maintenance services, and other fleet-related expenses. Maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of services and parts.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards governing vehicle safety, emissions, and maintenance.
• Reporting: Updating team about fleet conditions, managing equipment inventory. For example, updates during vehicle handovers, and regular updates regarding vehicle repairs, technical issues and damages; and insurance claims. Analyze data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvements.
• Training and Development: Provide training and support to local staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively. Identify training needs and implement development plans as required. Regular check-ups and on-site visits on processes.
• Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate fleet management processes and procedures to identify areas for improvement. Implement changes and best practices to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall fleet performance.

Place of work

The selected candidate will undergo an initial transition period based in Estonia, where they will familiarise themselves with Liigu's operations, systems, and team dynamics. During this period, the candidate will work closely with the local teams to gain a comprehensive understanding of our business processes and establish relationships with key stakeholders.

Following the transition period in Estonia, the candidate will have the opportunity to work abroad for extended period in France and Italy based on business and operational needs. After onboarding, the tasks will involve collaborating with local teams, adapting to regional regulations and market dynamics, and implementing strategies to optimize operations and enhance customer experience in each respective country. Liigu is committed to supporting the candidate throughout this transition phase to ensure a smooth integration into their new roles and environments.

Professional experience

• Experience in fleet management, specific experience in the car rental/car sharing industry is a plus.
• Proven experience in coordinating maintenance, repair, and logistics operations related to a large fleet of vehicles.
• In-depth knowledge of vehicle tracking tools, fleet management software, and online reservation systems.
• Negotiation skills with suppliers to secure competitive rates and ensure constant availability of vehicles.
