CellOPark Australia Pty Ltd “Smarter Parking” solution hailed as a world first and best practice for parking systems integration.

 

CellOPark announced today their ground-breaking solution has been described by local and international parking consultants as a “World First” for the level of integration with multiple technologies such as Pay-by-App, Pay-by-Phone, License Plate Recognition, Parking Guidance and Identity databases.

 

During a mobile or online CellOPark sign-up process, motorists providing a student or staff number are authenticated against the university’s systems and their account is tagged as to the locations where they are permitted to park. Members then pay using the CellOPark app on their smartphone, their online account or by calling a local phone number. License Plate Recognition systems installed in university patrol vehicles as well as Parking Guidance Systems throughout the 287 acre Bentley campus, are in constant communication with the centralised cloud-based CellOPark databases, allowing real-time signage updates and checks of parked vehicles by security and enforcement staff.

 

“Looking back at previous years, the manner in which we have been able to offer equitable and convenient parking in 2013 is no comparison to our previous permit-based systems” said Graham Arndt Director of Asset Management at Curtin. “The integrated solution from CellOPark and their specialist contractors has exceeded our goals and expectations. The project cost came in at about thirty five percent of what we would have had to budget for a traditional system of pay-stations, ticket machines and barrier arms” said Arndt.
