Rotary Honored for Most Innovative Product Offering by Dealer Equipment and Services

MADISON, Ind. Rotary, a leading vehicle lift manufacturer, was one of only four suppliers recently honored with an award by Dealer Equipment and Services (DES) at the DES annual supplier meeting.
DES is the third-party company that administers dealer equipment programs for GM, Chrysler, Mercedes, Nissan, BMW and other vehicle manufacturers.

Rotary received an award for increased market share and Most Innovative Product Offering for its vehicle lifts equipped with three-stage arms. Rotary Lift three-stage arms use a unique design that provides a greater range of extension and retraction than any other lift arms available. As a result, Rotary Lift three-stage arms can reach a broader range of vehicle pick-up points than standard, two-stage lift arms. This makes it possible to correctly lift more vehicles, including those with wider vehicle track width and lower profiles, a short wheelbase or a long wheelbase.

DESs GM account representative nominated Rotary for the award based on the extensive positive feedback he had received for the Rotary inground SmartLifts with three-stage arms installed at the GM Service Operations Garage.

The technicians have found them to be very versatile. They will lift anything brought in, says Al Ferry of GM Dealer Equipment. Prior to getting the three-stage arms, the only way we could lift a Pontiac Solstice was with a ramp style lift. With the Solstices very short wheelbase and wrap-around rockers similar to the Corvette, the arms of our frame-contact lifts would not work. The three-stage arms are short enough to fit inside the short wheelbase and the adjustable pads raise high enough to lift on the frame without contacting the rockers.

It is always gratifying to receive recognition from a customer for a job well done, especially when it comes from one of the largest companies in the world, says Mark Fitzpatrick, Rotary OEM account manager. We know that GM does not give out supplier recognition like this very often, so that makes it even better.
