TAPCO acquires Astro Optics

A family owned operation, Astro Optics has been making quality highway reflectors and related products for over 43 years.

The acquisition broadens TAPCO's diverse product offerings and offers new growth and expansion opportunities to Astro Optics existing customers. Competitive pricing will benefit both customer bases, and parts and products will maintain their current high level of quality. Astro Optics will remain an Illinois corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of TAPCO and do business as Astro Optics LLC.

In addition to acquiring all the tooling, trade names and other assets, TAPCO is pleased to add Gary Kinberg and Heather Lopez to the TAPCO family.

Gary will remain the VP of all Astro Optics sales and operations (his position for the past 15 years) and Heather will assist in day-to-day operations. Both Gary and Heather will maintain their offices in Elgin, IL. Parts will continue to be manufactured by Plastic Technologies, also of Elgin, IL.
