In today's blog, we feature an In the Spotlight interview with Cameron Clayton, CEO of EasyPark Group.
As cities continue to evolve, the need for smarter, more efficient mobility solutions has never been greater. In a significant move, EasyPark and Flowbird have joined forces to enhance their offerings and improve urban mobility worldwide. In this exclusive interview, we sit down with Cameron Clayton from EasyPark to discuss what this partnership means for cities, businesses, and drivers alike.
EasyPark Acquires Flowbird in a Landmark Step to Revolutionize Urban Mobility
1. Can you share how combining the strengths of EasyPark and Flowbird aligns with your mission for the industry?
Cameron Clayton:
It really is a historic day for EasyPark and Flowbird. These are two incredibly successful companies coming together to form one new company, with a shared purpose: together, we make cities more livable. That’s at the heart of this acquisition.
We want to help cities make better decisions. We want to help drivers in cities make better decisions. We want to help businesses and fleets in cities make better decisions. But we also know we can’t do this alone. We aim to be open and collaborative, working with industry partners, cities, businesses, and drivers. Together, we can make cities more livable.
2. With this expanded portfolio of services and products, how will cities and the industry benefit from this integration
Cameron Clayton:
This expansion allows us to scale our solutions and broaden our offerings. EasyPark has primarily focused on mobile paid parking. With Flowbird joining, we’re adding pay-and-display machines, transport ticketing solutions, and enhanced payment capabilities.
One of the most exciting aspects is our expansion from operating in 20 countries to over 80. Each city is at a different stage of maturity when it comes to mobility and infrastructure. Our goal is to provide the necessary data and insights to help them take the next best step
3. This is a major step for both EasyPark and Flowbird, especially as both are well-established companies. How do you ensure that the integration process continues to drive growth while maintaining service quality?
Cameron Clayton:
Our top priority is to continue exceeding our customers’ expectations. We may not always get it perfect, but we continuously strive to improve. Bringing together two organizations—comprising 3,800 people across 80 countries—will take time. Our focus today is celebrating this milestone while planning how to seamlessly integrate teams, products, and services.
4. That’s definitely something to celebrate! Speaking of integration, will both brands remain, or will there be a consolidation?
Cameron Clayton:
We don’t have anything to announce today, but this is something we’ll address soon. When two companies join forces, it’s important to build a unified team, a shared culture, and a common purpose: together, we make cities more livable. Over the coming months, we’ll engage in discussions with our teams, customers, partners, and the industry to ensure we move forward collaboratively.
5. Earlier, you emphasized the importance of collaboration with cities and industry players. How do you envision these partnerships evolving in the future?
Cameron Clayton:
Our goal is to build a global mobility platform. Cities are at different stages of mobility maturity—some are advanced, while others are just beginning their journey. We want to support them in progressing toward digitization, electrification, data-driven decision-making, and AI-powered solutions.
We recognize that we can’t do this alone. We want to operate in an open network, similar to how Android functions—offering standards while enabling partnerships. We don’t always have the best answer for every city, but we aim to exceed expectations by working together. I’d like to extend an invitation to our peers in the parking and mobility industry to collaborate with us. We need to move forward together to accelerate mobility and help cities make better decisions.
6. It’s clear that today is a major milestone. Looking ahead, what’s the next key milestone for EasyPark?
Cameron Clayton:
Right now, our main focus is delivering for our customers—today, in the coming weeks, and in the months ahead. I’m currently in Besançon, France, at one of our assembly factories, where trucks are lined up to transport equipment to customers as quickly as possible. That’s our immediate priority.
Beyond that, we see massive changes happening in the industry. Cities are expanding rapidly, particularly in regions like the Middle East, Africa, India, and Asia. As these areas embrace digitization and regulated space management, we’re excited about the opportunities ahead.

By combining their expertise and expanding their reach, they aim to create more efficient, livable cities. As the integration unfolds, the industry will be watching closely to see how this partnership shapes the future of parking and mobility solutions worldwide.
