Area Sales Manager Italy (Puglia, IT)

In this role you will work as a sales person and account manager engaging with multiple customers in Italy and at the same time work closely with EasyPark’s global team located in Sweden, Italy and multiple other countries. We are looking for a professional with at least 2 years of experience in business-to-business sales, who will meet customers on a daily basis, sign new customers and boost business with existing ones. Good knowledge of English is a must.

The EasyPark app, which lets drivers find and pay for parking, is our flagship product. It is currently available in 17 European markets and Australia. We count our user base in the millions, have tremendous growth and our services enable substantial benefits and new value generation opportunities not only to motorists. Cities and parking operators stand to benefit greatly too when drivers waste less time looking for parking and both public and private space is used more effectively. With the urban population doubling over the next 20 years, transportation systems need to become twice as effective, which makes the services we are creating an essential part of making cities smarter and more sustainable.

As Area Sales Manager you will work daily with both cities and private parking operators in the Puglia area in Italy. We are looking for a professional with at least 2 years of experience in business-to-business sales, who will meet customers on a daily basis, sign new customers and boost business with existing ones. Easypark is helping cities and operators digitize their parking processes which means deploying all our software services in the right order to achieve full digitization. Through the data we collect we can provide new levels of insight to cities and operators that will allow them to manage their assets in ways that they have never been able to before.

Your contribution and impact

As area sales manager you will be responsible for progress and results with partners, mainly consisting of cities and private parking operators in the area of Puglia.

Being able to cooperate at executive level is essential as a great part of the communication with the partners will be directly with CEOs of city-owned mobility companies and “Assessori” from Italian municipalities. The role is broad, mixing sales and business skills with the ability to establish new partnerships as well as developing and maintaining existing ones. The role covers everything from analysis, initial customer prospect contact, pre-sales, negotiating agreements, and entails training the partner’s staff through the implementation. You will lead and guide the partners all the way towards full digitization of their parking activities.

  • Strategic thinking and ability to quickly understand how to address the partner and/or customers’ needs and how to adapt the EasyPark concept accordingly
  • Ability to structure and present strong business cases for potential and current partners.
  • Analytical in order to understand the progress of the partner’s parking business

Your background

We don’t think one size fits all, but a successful candidate might have the following:

  • At least 2 years of work experience in business to business sales
  • Previous work experience with public administrations or within city mobility/parking operators
  • Knowledge of a sales/CRM system (e.g., Salesforce, Sugar) as well as basic office systems (e.g. word, excel, powerpoint, email)
  • Willingness to travel 60-80% of the time

Language requirements

  • Italian mother tongue or C2
  • English level B2 is mandatory, it will be tested during the first interview

Other important qualifications (the more you have - the better!)

  • 2+ years account management experience or consulting experience
  • Work experience with Italian municipalities (comuni)
  • Knowledge / work experience of the mobility, parking industry
  • Experience in IT (software, hardware, systems integration)
