Genetec’s Industry Marketing Management (IMM) team is a highly-skilled group of industry marketers who bridge the worlds of technology, sales, and vertical markets with ease. They are experts on our end users and the industries they work in.

Reporting to the Director of Digital & Industry Marketing, this role is strategically linked to the success of our larger industries strategy. Leading a team of IMMs, you will drive the delivery of high-impact go-to-market plans, narratives, and build sales enablement tools that help our customers along their buying journey.

What Your Day Will Look Like

  • Manage our team of industry marketers and interns, tapping into their full potential, ensure the IMM practice and our people continue to evolve and flourish
  • Own the strategic direction of the IMM team, as well as the team’s deliverables such as industry and buyer analysis, go-to-market planning, regional industry analysis and understanding, buyer journey mapping, and more
  • Work cross-functionally with, and maintain tight links to Corporate Marketing functions, Regional and Segment Marketing teams, Sales, Application & Product Groups on a variety of industry initiatives and portfolio launch launches
  • Develop and implement approved annual and multi-year strategic plans for IMM
  • Guide IMMs in analyzing our markets through research and data analysis, as well as tracking online performance (eg. webpage visits, search engine rankings, SEO & SEM), audience acquisition and growth, and conversion rates
  • Support our marketing campaigns and awareness activities alongside Segment, Regional Marketing, and demand generation teams
  • Collaborate closely with the Manager of Product Marketing to ensure alignment across processes, sales tools, and best practices

About You

  • A minimum of 7+ years of B2B software marketing experience (ideally in the software industry)
  • Several years of experience leading a team of marketers, skilled in motivating & coaching people
  • Solid understanding of the fundamentals of industry or product marketing such as sales tools development, market or competitor analysis, go-to-market planning, digital marketing programs, social media
  • Demonstrated understanding of the buyer journey and the development of buyer enablement tools suited to relevant stages of the buying journey
  • Successful track record working with sales, product marketing, digital marketing, communications, and regional marketing teams
  • Analytical with an understanding of data (eg. website traffic, leads & marketing funnel, etc.)
  • Delivered presentations in person or through webinars, eg. via Gotowebinar or similar webcasting tools
  • Excellent creative writing skills with writing samples to back it up, ability to edit content developed by others

Great If You Have

  • 7+ years of experience as a product or industry marketing manager in a high tech environment
  • Knowledge of software solutions, IP networking technology, analytics, or Software as a Service (SaaS)
  • Knowledge of marketing automation, CRM, lead & demand generation, and Account-Based Marketing (ABM)
  • Data and analytics tools such as Microsoft PowerBI, Google Analytics, SEMrush, or similar
  • Previous experience in sales or business development working directly with end users
