The Spirit of the Position:
The Hiring Coordinator, reports to the Human Resources Director and supports the entire HR team to effectively deliver a world-class employment experience for our employees. This individual will be the “voice of LAZ” for candidates who have been selected for hire across LAZ. Supporting the talent acquisition effort in more than 34 states, the HR Coordinator is an essential part of a seamless transition for the 6,000+ new LAZ Family members who are hired every year!
Partner with the Director of Human Resources to support the new hire process as needed in the Home Office.
Release and review new hire documents and follow-up as needed to ensure timely completion.
Be “the voice of LAZ” to build rapport and establish a trusting relationship with candidates via phone.
Manage ticketing system and correspondence with candidates and regional HR teams throughout hiring process.
Update hiring reports and keep track of the status of candidates who are in the new hire process.
Respond to home office and field requests and hiring tickets with a sense of urgency.
Initiate and review pre-employment screening tests and results; suggest appropriate resolution.
Follow new hire workflow to ensure processes are completed according to service level agreements.
Respond with a sense of urgency to any questions from candidates regarding the new hire process, including logging into systems, completing forms, locations for pre-employment screening, etc.
Provide general administrative and clerical support to the home office HR team including reporting, mailing, filing, scanning, faxing and copying.
Process and reconcile assigned HR-related invoices in preparation for payment in a timely manner.
Create and maintain relationships with the field, home office, and external stakeholders by representing LAZ with alignment to our core values.
Assist with administrative functions related to LAZ systems for the HR team.
Other duties as assigned.
Associates Degree preferred.
Prior experience with HRIS or other HR technology desired but not required.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word, strong Internet skills using external websites.
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks through to completion in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work well with team members as well as independently.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage time in order to meet set deadlines.
Proven problem-solving abilities.
Attention-to-detail and high-level of accuracy required.
Commitment to confidentiality required.
1-2 years administrative experience.
1-2 years related HR administration experience preferred, not required.
Ability to lift, push and pull at least 10 pounds.
Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
