HR Advisor (12 Month FTC to cover Maternity Leave)

Description

We are looking for a HR Advisor to join the People team to cover Maternity for 12 months. This is an exciting and interesting opportunity for a talented and personable HR Advisor, being a part of a lean global People function in a dynamic and exciting company means that no two days are the same!

Requirements

What will I be doing?

  • First port of call for all HR queries from employees and managers alike
  • Supporting managers with People processes including performance management, performance reviews, probation reviews etc.
  • Pro-actively advising and managing the processes for all sickness absence, capability, disciplinary and grievance processes.
  • Pro-actively contributing to initiatives and projects which are part of the ongoing development of UK and global People processes.
  • Supporting recruitment processes (we have Talent Acquisition Specialists so this would be supporting them where necessary!)
  • Organising social events for the Bristol team throughout the year as well as the annual Summer and Christmas parties!
  • Ownership of processes such as onboarding, internal contract changes and offboarding
  • Ownership of keeping the HR Information System and employee personnel files up-to-date and compliant
  • Documentation including offer letter and contracts as well as invite letters, minutes and outcome letters for Employee Relations issues
  • Any other tasks associated with HR Advisor role as required

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation and the impact on HR practice
  • Proven track record of managing and advising on complex employee relations issues
  • Ability to coach managers in effective people management solutions
  • Approachable with a positive attitude and a ‘People First’ approach
  • Ability to manage your time and workload effectively
  • Experience of contributing to policies and procedures
  • Experience of ensuring HR Administration is managed and up-to-date. You should have experience of (and be happy with!) drafting offer letters, contracts, invite and outcome letters, as well as pulling departmental reports, maintaining employee files and the HRIS.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • CIPD Level 5
  • Experience of working in the Technology Sector
