Passport is seeking a results-oriented System Administrator for our Charlotte Corporate office. This role will work closely with IT Management to ensure maximum up-time and minimal service disruptions to the Internal IT environment. The ideal candidate should be comfortable multitasking with in-depth knowledge and experience in Systems Administration, LAN/WAN, user management, integration, and securing of PaaS and SaaS-based systems, such as Google, Slack, Zoom, and virtual phone systems running on Mac OS. This role should have knowledge and experience related to securing these systems with security methods and tools, such as Anti-Malware, Anti-Virus, Anti-Spam, Phishing / Spear Phishing Protection, Identity Management, Multi-Factor Authentication, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and Mobile Device Management (MDM).

Responsibilities

  • Administer all internally used back-end systems including user accounts, email, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, phones, software deployment, security updates, and patches.
  • Collaborate with IT System Management personnel to perform back-end system configurations, installations, updates, and upgrades to PaaS and SaaS-based systems and internal infrastructure systems.
  • Implement and maintain solutions that harden the supported systems and maximize Passport’s security posture.
  • Provide daily operational support and troubleshooting for all internal systems and tools.
  • Monitor system performance/availability and take appropriate proactive steps to maximize uptime.
  • Develop requirements for new systems and understand and communicate any upgrades or updates of existing systems.
  • Design, install, configure, maintain, and perform system integration testing of all non-customer facing systems
  • Monitor and control system jobs/processes.
  • Coordinate with DevOps to provide high-quality support for new systems, projects, and upgrades.
  • Provide systems administration management and support for software, including managing and maintaining documentation for software subscriptions.
  • Engage vendors, when needed, to resolve issues with hardware and/or software problems.
  • Assist as needed with maintaining internal office network and A/V systems.
  • Ensure maintenance and updating of documentation; Provide valuable metrics and reporting.
  • Participate in all 3rd party audits and actively work to help ensure successful audits (i.e. PCI, SOC, Data Security)

Qualifications

  • 4-6 years of hands-on work experience managing and supporting back-end configurations for critical business systems, LAN/WAN, business productivity tools, user management, email management, file sharing, and security tools and settings.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages, JSON, and REST APIs for automating and integrating systems is required.
  • Experience with back-end administration and integration specifically related to Google technologies is preferred.
  • Experience with planning and executing the implementation of identity management and/or security technologies is preferred.
  • Strong documentation skills; ability to develop and/or follow IT processes and procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to work on diverse projects simultaneously, requiring detailed analysis, creative/practical problem solving, time management, and sound judgment
  • Ability to self-motivate while operating effectively in a team-oriented and collaborative, and fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal/written and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness and ability to learn new technologies according to the business needs
