What We Expect From You

• Create scalable, future-proof mobile applications, and realistic plans towards developing them across the Virta Platform
• Work with other development teams and business to ideate software solutions
• You are able to put your ego aside, treat everyone with respect, and help others reach their potential.
• You are comfortable with coaching developers in the development work implementing the plans you have created. You don’t sweat when writing technical documentation or internal tech blog posts
• In addition to technical competence, communication is key in this role, you are not afraid to ask hard questions nor provide simple instructions.
• You have enough persistence and determination: it takes a certain stubborn attitude and time to build simple solutions to complex problems. Solutions that are easily maintainable, good quality , AND are also scalable, you understand this concept well

What We Expect You  To Know About

Proven hands-on experience in mobile application development (e.g. Swift and Kotlin are a plus)
Experience in Scrum and Kanban. SAFe and other agile methodologies is a plus
Fluent in English, as it is the main working language at Virta

To give perspective to what you’ll  start working with (or rebuilding), our current technology stack includes:

• Native Apps using Kotlin and Swift shared business logic with Kotlin-Multiplatform
• React based web UI’s
• NodeJS microservices with Typescript, a PHP 7.4 Laravel 8 Monolith, and PHP legacy system with JQuery UI
• MySQL and PostgreSQL databases, Redis, RabbitMQ, and Kafka, all running on AWS
• Microservice deployment on top of Kubernetes
• Bamboo, Bitrise and Drone, Bitbucket Pipelines for CI/CD
• Release automation scripts in Python and Swift
