APCOA Parking (UK) continues to be at the forefront of parking technology after it went live with a new pre-booking engine for Tromso Airport in Norway.

It’s the sixth high specification pre-booking engine that APCOA has developed alongside its sister company, EuroPark; and the 12th portal that the UK business has developed since the pre-booking concept emerged.

The pre-booking installation at Tromso Airport benefits from an impressive second generation user interface & experience, and builds upon APCOA’s existing success in the Nordic region; principally through APCOA Parking (UK) and EuroPark’s (Norway) work with civil aviation operator Avinor Group, between 2013 and 2014.

Through its diligence, APCOA has provided Tromso with an unrivalled bespoke booking engine, which comprises financial reconciliation and connectivity to local parking equipment.  This is further complemented with a detailed management information (MI) and reporting tool, and yield management dashboard, to help gauge customer trends.

The system, which was developed and road-tested by APCOA’s e-Solutions’ team in the UK, again reinforces its thought-leadership when it comes to performance, business intelligence and quality of the MI.

Tromso Airport is now able to effectively manage its customers parking requirements.  The airport can now look to review & use the BI/MI information to develop pricing elasticity through parking tariffs that are based on seasonal supply & demand, in order to improve conversion rates & drive revenue maximisation.
