MSR Traffic congratulates BMW Car IT (a subsidiary of BMW AG) on the recently ordered parking guidance system. BMW Car IT’s Munich employees create software solutions exclusively for BMW Group vehicles and can already envision how vehicle software will be like 20 years in the future. These ideas and concepts are developed thereafter.

The major German car manufacturers rely on MSR-Traffic

Having already provided the factory premises and the car parks of Mercedes-AMG and Audi with several parking guidance systems, MSR-Traffic GmbH has now acquired BMW as a new customer.

Parking guidance system with open interfaces for the customer

The car park of the subsidiary company of the Bavarian engine builder will be equipped with single space detection. Ultrasonic sensors with integrated LEDs (red / green) placed above every parking bay detect occupied places and report the number of available parking spaces in real time. The associated software ParkGard Control Center (Web-based with many useful features for the operator) provides the customer with an open interface so that he can integrate the data into other programs if needed. MSR-Traffic will deliver a turnkey system, i.e. incl. assembly and installation, so that BMW won’t have to worry about any additional tasks.
