PACE 2014: Roundtable Conversations, EMV Update and Networking

Parking Australia is pleased to announce that Ian McKindley Senior Director Risk Services for Visa in Australia, New Zealand & Pacific Islands will take part in the EMV update session in Melbourne on Monday 28 April.

In this role Ian works closely with clients, regulators and law enforcement agencies to ensure that card fraud is kept under control in this geography. Ian is Visa's spokesperson for current issues of card fraud, from Internet hacking to card skimming.

Since joining Visa in July 2002, Ian has identified and championed a number of initiatives to reduce credit card fraud, including lobbying the Australian government for improved anti-skimming laws, the introduction of CVV2, POS line encryption, the strong take-up of PCI DSS and in 2009 developed Visa's Australian and New Zealand 7 Point Security Strategies

1pm Roundtable

Discussions provide members with the opportunity to table common issues, share information and be part of policy development for Parking Australia's forward looking advocacy. This is a conversation based event where you set the agenda. It is also where you will learn more about the Parking Australia Industry Code of Practice.

3pm EMV

A recent POLL conducted by Parking Australia has revealed that over 50% of respondents do not fully understand the mandate requirements of EMV. This Q&A style session will be fully interactive with* Visa, and Advam in attendance.

4.30pm - 6.30pm Networking Drinks

A chance to meet and mingle with parking colleagues in an informal setting with guest speaker, Dave Jones, RACV's Roads and Traffic Manager.

The 14th Australian Parking Convention will be hosted at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre from Sunday, 14 September - Tuesday, 16 September 2014.
