PowerGo: 152 Public Charging Points for Ikast-Brande Municipality

PowerGo has completed the installation of all 152 charging points in the Danish municipality of Ikast-Brande, in the Central Jutland region. The charging points offer a capacity ranging from 22 to 150 kilowatts (kW) and are all publicly accessible.

The municipality of Ikast-Brande has selected PowerGo as Charge Point Operator (CPO) based on a tender. Ikast-Brande is now part of PowerGo’s expanding charging network in Denmark, providing residents with more opportunities to charge their electric vehicle (EV).

Tailored charging solutions

The charging solutions are tailor-made to meet the needs of EV drivers. PowerGo installed a total of eight ultra-fast charging points of 150 kW, six DC charging points of 50 kW, and 138 AC charging points of 22 kW. All charging points are located in public spaces, such as schools, sports clubs, daycare centers, and municipal buildings.

The largest location is along highway N185, Herningmotorvejen, in Ikast. Here, EV drivers have access to 16 charging points, including eight ultra-fast charging points of 150 kW and eight chargers of 22 kW. In addition, the fast chargers of 50 kW are installed at a large and central parking lot, at the town hall and at a school.

User-friendly and green charging

Through dynamic pricing, EV drivers have access to fair and transparent charging prices based on the hourly electricity price. The current charging prices can be found in the free PowerGo Charge app.

All charging stations in Ikast-Brande offer the certainty of green energy. PowerGo works with 100 percent solar energy, generated from solar parks operated by its parent company PowerField.
