Check-out this new parking system

Paying for your parking may soon be as easy as buying a pint of milk thanks to a new system unveiled at Intertraffic by Scheidt & Bachmann.
The PK30 is designed to sit beside standard cash registers in retail outlets. After a parking token or ticket is presented to the cashier the machine assesses the length of the parking period, calculates how much is owed and produces an EAN barcode which the shop assistant can easily scan.
The EAN barcodes can be set up in the cash register system for different time periods as easily as for products such as coffee or chocolate, for example "Parking 2:15 hrs".

Norbert Crynen, Scheidt & Bachmann marketing director said: "Intertraffic is a good platform for us to show this new technology worldwide and find out how much interest there is in it.

"This is an inexpensive system that works alongside existing cash registers. It is ideal for both supermarkets and smaller shops with limited size car parks. The system saves money because it means that shops don"t need a separate cash facility for the car park; they can use their existing cash register inside the shop."
