Scheidt & Bachmann and the Carberra Centre, Australia

The car park area at the Canberra Centre, an shopping centre in the Australian capital, was been extended on a large scale. It now covers 5,500 parking spaces and represents the largest car park area in a shopping centre in Australia. The car park facility has been equipped with a Scheidt & Bachmann system.

The personnel of the shopping centre have a comfortable access to the staff car park areas by means an HID Proximity Card.
To get a quick view over the financial and statistics data and a central access on the systems available, all equipment is interfaced to a master computer. So all advantages offered by a master level can be used.
As a special feature, a decentralized Commend intercom system has been installed and networked via LAN and WLAN. Should any irregularities occur on the equipment of the car park area, an intercom system is integrated to call for help. Any help call arriving at an unmanned centre office (e.g. overnight or in low-business hours) will be passed by the intercom system to the internal or public telephone network and to a mobile phone. So help is available quickly and without a complicated procedure and, for example, a closed barrier will be opened via the phone / mobile phone. With this feature, the service and security aspect is of major importance.
