With the new SKIDATA Parking System SPT 400, joining the world of the famous SKIDATA systems is easier than ever before
SKIDATA, the Austrian-based provider with a successful 25-year history in access control systems, has extended its product portfolio with a new, easy-to-use system for parking management. The system is especially geared to the specific requirements of communities, hotels, hospitals, business parks, cinemas, and shopping centres.
SPT 400 means more parking convenience

Future-oriented technology in a user-friendly design

> In terms of hardware, salient features include comprehensive networking capabilities, as well as a modular structure (standard components include entry and exit gates with terminals and barriers, a pay-on-foot station, and a central administration unit). This basic setup can be extended as needed to accommodate changing requirements.
> As in all other SKIDATA™ products, the system’s driving force is its operating software, which interlinks all hardware components and provides smooth overall control. Valuable customer data, for example, are literally at your fingertips, ready to be called up at the touch of a button. This way, SPT 400 guarantees you time-saving, efficient parking space management. As system manager you can choose from a rich selection of standard software modules to suit your needs. What is more, you are free to obtain further add-on modules for additional functions as and when the need arises.
> Several flexible parking validation solutions are provided to cater specifically to the needs of shopping centre operators. Available configurations range from the use of simple, cost-efficient ticket-punches to fraud-proof validation by means of special thermographic validation stamps with extensive ticket tracking support. As a result, you will be able to offer validated parking as a valuable customer incentive.
> Using the SKIDATA™ KeyCard as the carrier medium for parking permits will allow your customers to enjoy outstanding contactless user convenience.
Easy handling, excellent value for money
Unlike in the case of established Parking System APT 450, which is intended for professional commercial parking management, easy, straightforward handling was a top priority from the very beginning. The idea was to offer new and existing customers the best possible value for money in terms of initial investment and everyday use. The new System SPT 400 requires very little initial training, allowing operating staff to start working with it almost immediately.Access all areas
With the introduction of SPT 400 SKIDATA™ is confident to meet the requirements of markets that could not be addressed with previous system generations.
A schedule for market introduction
The first prototypes of Parking System SPT 400 were introduced at the Intertraffic 2002 trade fair in Amsterdam. Since then, the system has undergone comprehensive in-house testing. Several demo versions are now up and running, ready to be used for system training and testing purposes. Beginning at the end of February, the new system will be presented to selected customers at SKIDATA™ headquarters in Gartenau. The coming months will see first deliveries to customers in Austria, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands.
