Community Regional Medical Center Deploys TagMaster North America RFID System for Faculty and Staff Parking Access Controls

TagMaster North America, Inc., the leading provider of long-range, high-performance Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) systems for Automatic Vehicle Identification (AVI) deployed its long range RFID solutions for faculty and staff parking access for Community Regional Medical Center (CRMC) in Fresno, California. The forward thinking team at CRMC wanted to ensure the most accurate and reliable RFID technology was being used to allow immediate and secure access for parking controls.

CRMC chose TagMaster RFID systems to provide their parking garages and lots a comprehensive, site-wide standardized solution for their doctors, nurses and staff to allow secure and continuous parking access. The need for consistent and reliable performance was paramount for their parking operations. A previous RFID system had been installed and due to the poor performance, faculty, administrators and staff were not able to reliably gain access to their assigned lots without the need for manual override for the barrier arms. This proved to cause significant traffic congestion and delayed employees from reporting to their assigned duty positions to care for patients in a reasonable time. After tolerating a poor quality and poor performing system for years, administration no longer could accept such conditions and selected a TagMaster solution.

TagMaster installed its' robust LR-3 RFID Readers in conjunction with the S1240 MarkTag MeM Tags to allow for quick, hands-free vehicle access for hospital personnel and other authorized medical staff at CRMC. The Long-Range LR-3 Readers identify a vehicle's TagMaster AVI Tag at a distance of up to 18 feet as it approaches the entrance of the parking garage, logs the authorized credential and triggers the barrier arm to open for valid tags while denying access to anyone not permitted access.
